Tip: How to eat during the full moon and new moon

13.09.2011
Updated: January 9, 2012

I would like to stress here that it is important to watch when the full moon and the new moon (when the smallest crescent moon is) are. During these days it is better to avoid meat, alcohol, coffee and black tea. If a person wants to do more for their health, they should fast or at least reduce the amount of food for both of these days or even 2-3 days around these two days. To find a type of fasting or detoxification suitable for you (e.g. you can eat only natural rice with a little steamed vegetables, someone likes drinking only tea or fruit juices, or you can at least lighten up your diet and visit one of our many vegetarian restaurants or Indian canteens). What is it about? During the full moon and 1-2 days before and after the full moon there is a lot of energy in the air. Children and adults tend to sleep poorly, children are naughty, adults argue. When you add alcohol, meat or coffee (all of which are highly warming foods) to the already heightened energy in the air, you go against nature and the excess energy must be drained. Then do not be surprised that you're more irritable than usual, you are furious and sleep badly. It is important to go with natural cycles. The full moon is very strong. Most hospitals burst at the seams during full moons, women have periods almost synchronously. During a full moon, illnesses deteriorate, wounds do not heal, infections fester more and so on. In the days before and during a full moon, it is highly advisable to avoid any operations and medical treatments like pulling teeth etc. The full moon is, from an astronomical point of view, when the Sun and Moon are opposite, and it's the only position that the Moon is in when we see its entire surface without the Earth shading the Sun's rays. This constellation has a huge impact on all natural processes. The most visible effect can be seen as the increase in strength of the high tide.
